Just an update...
It's been a while since I last posted, so I thought I should just write an update about what's been going on lately.
Erwin and I are three months away from our wedding day, and the tasks are really starting to pile up! But I am proud of the fact that in this last month, we knocked out so many tasks! Bridesmaids' dresses, tuxedos, flowergirl dresses, and save-the-date cards have all been taken care of! We took care of the wedding gown, photographer/videographer, flowers, and the ceremony and reception site a long time ago. It looks like invitations, ringbearer outfits, and the other random stuff (like candles, flowergirl baskets, and ordering the gifts for the entourage) is next on our plate.
I want to take some time to write about my loving fiance. The other day, we stopped at Sport Authority to just browse and walk off the food that we just ate, and he happened to see a heavy bag stand that he really liked. He had bought a heavy bag a few months back, but had not attached it to the ceiling because we have been on the fence about whether we were going to move to a bigger place. The stand happened to be on sale, and it included a speed bag attachment on the other side. I asked him if he would like the stand for his belated birthday present. I knew he really wanted it, but he didn't want to admit it to me. It was one of those moments when I had to just say "I'm going to buy it, and you can come with me if you want!" It's almost as if I have to shove the gift into his hands. But I knew that he was glad that I bought it. While I stuffed save-the-dates into envelopes (because I'm really particular about how I do things and I wouldn't let him help me) he went down to our garage, rearranged everything down there, and put together his new stand. He loves it so much that he even went down to take pictures of it to put up on his own blog! It makes me so happy to be able to put a smile on his face!
(Sigh) Okay, I've got to get moving on those other tasks now.
